1. Photo Requirements for Graduate Slides:
- Slides may be displayed during the ceremony, used in online and printed programs, and/or emailed to the graduate.
- Individual headshot photo of graduate (selfies are acceptable)
- High-resolution digital photo (jpg) in portrait mode (vertical)
- Do not crop original photo as cropping affects the resolution
- No writing or imposing text on the image
- You must not use watermarked images
- The uploaded portrait image must be appropriate for a formal academic setting
- Headshot photo for graduate slide. JPEG. Max. 7 MB. Minimum size 499 x 627 px
2. Tips for Taking a Good Headshot Photo:
- Use natural lighting
- Keep the background simple
- Dress how you would when meeting a new client (or dress in cap and gown)
- Opt for basic hair and makeup
3. Tips for Recording Your Name (Audio Pronunciation):
- Use a device with a working microphone
- Follow the prompts
- Speak slowly and clearly
- Listen carefully to your recording
- If you are satisfied, approve and submit
- If you are not satisfied with your first attempt, record again until it sounds the way you would like your name announced at Commencement
